Phoenix's Summer Reading begins

To go along with our summer bucket list we have been reading three books filled with summer sights and sounds.   Each book has great illustrations and simple words desribing all the great fun of summer.

Today we filled Phoenix's kiddie pool and played in the water.   Later in the day when we read Summer Days and Nights, it had a picture of kids swimming in a littel pool, he was so excited.  He said, " I did that!"

For more ideas on great summer reading for kids, check out this website.

It is filled with books, hands on activities, summer writing ideas and great fun for summer enjoyment.

What summer books have you shared with each other?

  1. I haven't thought about summer books... I guess I should get on that! We've been reading a lot of gardening books: Planting a Rainbow, The Carrot Seed, Growing Vegetable Soup, etc.

Thanks for the link! Looks like a really useful resource!
